No information about Saeid Shirzad after 2 months

HRANA News Agency – Still after two months, there is no information available on the status of Saeid Shirzad and authorities do not respond to his family.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) in Iran, Saeid Shirzad was arrested at his workplace in Tabriz refinery on June 2nd and later he was transferred to solitary confinement in Evin prison in Tehran.
Only once in early July he had a short contact with his family and then no information is available about his status and his health condition.
An informed source who requested anonymity told HRANA’s reporter: “Rejection of giving permission to the relatives of Saeid Shirzad to visit him or make a phone call, has caused his family’s concern. It is not known what happened to him that they do not let his family to visit him. ”

Saeid Shirzadeh, Children Rights’ activist, was arrested for first time on 22nd August 2012, when he went to Ahar after the earthquake in East Azerbaijan to help and aid the people of East Azerbaijan and after spending 19 days in detention he was released on bail.

Regarding this case, Saeid Shirzadeh had been sentenced to one year suspended prison by the branch 26 of Revolutionary Court.
