10 films shortlisted for Iran's submission to 2015 Oscars

The shortlist includes director Behruz Afkhami's family drama "Azar, Shahdokht, Parviz and Others", Ali Ghaffari's World War II drama "Restitution", Reza Mirkarimi's social drama "Today", Ehsan Abdipur's anti-war movie "All Alone", and Ruhollah Hejazi's "The Wedlock", a drama on the conflict between tradition and modernity, the Farabi Cinema Foundation, which organizes the participation of Iranian films in international events, announced on Friday.

Ebrahim Hatamikia's film on Iranian war hero Mostafa Chamran "Che", Mehdi Rahmani's family drama "Snow", Mostafa Kiaii's social thriller "Exclusive Lane", Hadi Moqaddamdust's spiritual story "The Sealed Secret" and "Don't Be Tired" directed by Afshin Hashemi and Mohsen Qaraii about a tourist couple who faces several problems during their visit to Iran were also shortlisted.

The director of the Farabi Cinema Foundation's International Department, Amir Esfandiari, said that the team is scheduled to announce Iran's submission for the 2015 Oscar race on Tuesday.
