Critical health condition of Aliasghar Mahmoudian at Semnan prison

HRANA News Agency – Aliasghar Mahmoudian, political prisoner at central prison of Semnan is suffering from critical health condition and has planned to be examined by a medical commission.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Aliasghar Mahmoudian, 63, prisoner of central prison of Semnan who is suffering from physical and mental difficulties will be examined by medical commission.

A close source who wanted to remain unknown, told HRANA’s reporter, “The persecutor agreed that a medical commission assembled for Asghar Mahmoudian and we hope that by their report, exemption from the rest of one and half year sentence would be issued for him”.

He also said, “Beside his previous difficulties now he is suffering from a buzz sound that is due to neurologic problems and there is no proper facility in this prison for him”.

Aliasghar Mahmoudian is suffering from prostate, arteriosclerosis, hemorrhoids, lumbar disc and respiratory diseases and the condition of central prison of Semnan is not sufficient for treatment.

Aliasghar Mahmoudian was arrested in autumn 2009 and sentenced to 6 years in prison in exile by branch number 15 of revolutionary court on charge of Muharebeh. He has served 4.5 years of his sentence.

Muharebe is among the amendments of Islamic penal code in 2012, and based on accepted and adopted Iranian and international laws, his sentence has to be changed.
