Saied Shirzad’s case sent to the revolutionary court

HRANA News Agency – Case of Saied Shirzad, children’s right activist, was sent to the Revolutionary Court and an indictment was issued for him.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the case of Saied Shirzad, political prisoner in Evin prison, was sent to the Revolutionary Court after his indictment was issued, but there has not been a court branch specified for his case yet.

An informed source told HRANA’s reporter, “Saied Shirzad’s attorney, Mr. Amir Salar Davoodi was informed, while he attended Revolutionary Court that the indictment has been issued but, the branch has not yet been specified.”

He added, “It is more than 10 days that Shirzad’s temporary detention which by the court branch number 6 of Evin prison was issued and extended from 2 months to 4 months in two stages, has expired. Indeed, the detention was over on 4th October. ”

At the end, he said: “The recent arrest of Saied Shirzad was related to chasing situation of children of prisoners who have been detained because of supporting PMOI.”

Saied Shirzad was arrested on 2nd June at his work in Tabriz refinery and was then taken to Evin prison in Tehran.
