Mohsen Barzegar released from Mata-Kola prison

HRANA News Agency – Mohsen Barzegar, former student of Noushiravan university of technology, student activist and political prisoner, has been released from Mata-Kola prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohsen Barzegar, former student and student activist of Noushiravani university of technology who was imprisoned in Mata-Kola prison, was released on Sunday after serving his two years in prison sentence.

Mohsen Barzegar was the former secretary of cultural in Islamic Student Association who was arrested on aftermath of 2009 presidential elections and sentenced to 10 months in prison.

The member of general council of OCU (Office for strengthening unity), was arrested on November 2010, during the cyber election of the OCU council, and transferred to ward 240 of Evin prison. Again, he was arrested in a protest on February 14, 2011 and sentenced to two years in prison by the verdict of the revolutionary court of Babol by the governance of chief judge Bagherian.
