Iran’s crude revenues decrease by 30%

ILNA: Iran’s oil revenues have decreased by 30 percent, the Islamic Republic president Hassan Rouhani said.

Rouhani said that the regional and global conditions are very sensitive and Iran’s main income, oil revenues has decreased by 30 percent.

While commenting on a decrease in a trend of oil prices, President Rouhani said that economy is not the only dominant factor, as politics and global conspiracies in general play an important role in the issue.

The falling trend of oil prices in the global markets has raised some concerns about a possible budget deficit in the current Iranian fiscal year (to end March 20, 2015).

Iran’s current year budget envisages the price of $100 for each barrel of oil. It is while Mehr News Agency reported Oct 25 that, each Iranian light and heavy oil barrel was sold at $84.25 and $82.61 respectively. The OPEC Reference Basket (ORB) stood at $82.48 a barrel on Oct. 24.

National Iranian Oil Company’s Director for International Affairs Seyyed Mohsen Qamsari has suggested that the best option is to base the next year’s budget plan on $70-75 per oil barrel.

He also added that the current year’s figure of $100 per barrel was not the oil ministry’s offer.
