Iran unveils unmanned helicopter

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers at Amir Kabir Poly Technique University as well as researchers in Mahabad City, north western Iran, unveiled the first locally-made unmanned helicopter in the 7th International Air and Aviation Exhibition underway in Kish Island, southern Iran.

The helicopter codenamed 'Yasin' is capable of carrying 18 kg of shipment. It weighs 40 kilograms and is passing flight tests phases.

It can fly by 1:10 minutes and is capable of taking images and conduct surveillance missions.

It has been manufactured locally, and has taken one and a half year to be built. It does not have any foreign version.
