Atena Daemi is Still Kept in Solitary Confinement

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, civil rights and children’s rights activist is still in solitary confinement after near two months, despite finishing the interrogation process.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Atena Daemi was arrested in her house on Tuesday morning October 29, and transferred to 2-Alef ward which is controlled by IRGC in Evin prison.

A close source to her told HRANA’s reporter, “It is now 20 days that her interrogation has been finished, but she is still kept in solitary confinement and agents are evading from sending her to court.”

This source continued, “Allegations of Atena Damei are propaganda against the regime and acts against the national security. While Atena is just a children’s rights activist, interrogators tried to connect her to political parties and foreign governments”.

This source also mentioned, “due to the condition of solitary confinement, she has got skin disease. Ateana has announced that if this situation remains, she will start hunger strike”.
