Ebrahim Firoozi Sentenced to Imprisonment and Exile

HRANA News Agency – Ebrahim Firoozi, a Christian convert prisoner in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, has been sentenced to 1 year in prison and two years in exile in Sarbaz city.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ebrahim Firozi, Christian convert in his last arrest, on 25th August 2013, was sentenced by the Revolutionary court in Robat Karim city to one year in prison and two years of exile in Sarbaz city.

He has been charged with propaganda against the regime and the court verdict says: “The court concluded the propaganda actions taken by the defendant against the Islamic Republic of Iran is detected and on this basis pursuant to Article 500 of the Penal Code, the court will sentence him to endure one year imprisonment counting the days of his detention.”

That is to say, he has had already 5 months suspended imprisonment that must be spent, as well.

One of his relatives told HRANA’s reporter, “When his sentence of one year finishes, still he has another open case that the court must make a decision on that as soon as possible.”
