Fariba Ashtari Begins Her 2-Year Sentence in Yazd Prison

HRANA News Agency – On Feburary 21, Mrs. Fariba Ashtari, a Bahai from Yazd, reported to the central prison in the city to begin serving a 2-year sentence.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), she has also been given a 12-month suspended sentence.

She is the fourth of 20 Bahais who were arrested in central Iran in August 2012, to begin her sentence.

These 20 Bahais were charged with propaganda against the regime and participation in Bahai community activities.
