Mehrdad Ahmadzadeh’s Bail Confiscated by the Court

HRANA News Agency – 50 million Tomans bail of Mehrdad Ahmadzadeh, cultural activist, was confiscated by Judiciary office in Esfahan.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), in the last days of 1393 of Iranian year, 15th -20th of March, branch 3 of Law Enforcement Office of Judiciary in Esfahan attempted to seizure 50 million Tomans bail belonging to Mehrdad Ahmadzadeh.

According to a relative of Mr. Ahmadzadeh, department of collecting state properties, without prior notice, contacted his father, who had paid the amount of bail,and stated that if Mehrdad do not attend the court then they will seizure the bail and his property will be put on auction.

According to HRANA, Mr. Ahmadzad’s request for extending the deadline was refused and finally Mr. Ahmadzadeh had to pay the 50 million Tomans bail.

According to HRANA’s previous reports, Mr. Mehrdad Ahmadzadeh, secretary of the “Anjomane Vahdate Melli Iran” (Association of National Unity, NGO), was arrested on Friday 10th May 2014, during a performance of traditional music by the police and was released on bail of 50 million Tomans.

There is still no information why Mr. Ahmadizadeh has refused to attend the court.
