Wednesday 01 April 2015Araghchi: Iran won’t be captivated by time issueLAUSANNE, Apr. 01 (MNA) – Iran's senior negotiator has said any statement regarding an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program would not have any attachment. Iran's senior negotiator Seyed Abbas Araghchi, while pointing to a series of documents under review by Iran and the 5+1 states, said any statement issued regarding the agreement on Iran’s nuclear program would not have any attachments. Stressing the importance of time, Araghchi yet insisted that Iran would not undermine the pressure of time issue, however, on the other hand, would never let it overshadow its demands. "We are negotiating in extra time; we were supposed to get a result until the end of March, however, we won’t let time captivate us and distract our attention from details,” Araghchi reiterated. Noting that all issues are to be agreed upon, Iran's chief negotiator said, “We've made good progress, however, all problems need to be resolved.” He said the purpose of ongoing negotiations is to ensure that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful and to lift multilateral sanctions against Iran, adding that both issues are the main subject matter of discussions between the two sides. “As reiterated many times, we cannot accept an agreement which would not consider lifting all sanctions,” Araghchi stressed in response to a question about the sanctions. He emphasized that progress has been achieved in lifting the sanctions, but not yet complete. |
