A Report about the Condition of Saeid Poor Haidar in Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – After more than two months from the arrest of Saeid Poor Haidar, he is still waiting for the court session.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Poor Haidar was arrested after his arrival, in last February. After the arraignment, he was transferred to ward number 8 in Evin prison until court would announce the trial date.

According to a close source to Saeid Poor Haidar, he has been charged with propaganda against the regime, insult of supreme leader and activities in cyber space. This source told HRANA’s reporter regarding his current status, “his appendix has blooded in solitary confinement, but he did not receive proper medical treatment. Besides, ward number 8 does not have good conditions and currently he and some other political prisoners are kept with normal prisoners and foreign smugglers”.

Saeid Poor Haidar was arrested after 2009 presidential elections and after being released, had departed the country and spent some times in USA and Turkey. He returned to Iran in February, which ended to his detention.

According to HRANA’s sources, ward number 8 of Evin prison is one of the worst wards that in contrast with separation of prisoners on the basis of their charges, contains a large number of political and conscientious prisoners; political prisoners are experiencing difficult time near normal and sometimes dangerous prisoners.
