Nahid Gorji In A Bad Psychological Situation Under Detention

HRANA News Agency – The mental condition of Nahid Gorji is reported “bad and severely depressive” in the 12th month under detention.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after more than 11 months being under detention in Mashhad, yet there is no information regarding the status of the case or Nahid Gorji’s allegations.

An informed source, with emphasizing that she has “very severe mental condition” said, Nahid Gorji has been diagnosed with “very severe depression” and “bad mental condition” and even “physicians has requested for her transfer to a mental hospital”.

Nahid Gorji,was arrested on October 11, 2014, at her house by the security forces, and first was transferred to Koohsangi court in Mashhad and then to an unknown location. After two weeks 400 million Tomans bail was issued for her, which according to her family was heavy and they could not afford it.

8 members of the European Parliament sent a letter to Federica Mogherini, the high representative of the union for foreign affairs and security policy on December 8, 2014 and stated their concerns regarding the arrest of Nahid Girji and asked her to share these concerns with the Iranian authorities and called for the freedom of Ms. Gorji.
