At Least 1 Prisoners Executed In Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – The death penalty of a prisoner was executed in Adel Abad prison in Shiraz.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on the morning of January 16th, a prisoner identified as Hushang Zare was hanged in the Adel Abad prison of Shiraz.

He had been arrested for the murder of a young man in the Virtue Park of Shiraz in August 2003 and was sentenced to death.

A relative of Mr Zare said that he has was eighteen years old when he was in detention. It is also said that on Wednesday, two other prisoners were hanged together with Houshang Zare in Adel Abad prison.

The authorities and judicial bodies has not informed about the executions in Adel Abad prison yet.
