Mostafa Tajzadeh Returned to Evin Prison by the End of His Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Seyed Mostafa Tajzadeh, political prisoner at Evin Prison, has returned to prison by the end of his furlough.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Seyed Mostafa Tajzadeh, the senior member of Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Organization (MIRO) and The Islamic Iran Participation Front (Mosharekat Party), who on March 19, 2016 was released from the prison on a furlough, on March 24, 2016 returned to prison by the end of the furlough.

Mostafa Tajzadeh was arrested after the Iranian presidential election in 2009 and was charged with “gathering and colluding in order to disturb the national security” and “propaganda against the regime”, then he was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment by branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salvati; this sentence was upheld by an appeals court.

Mr. Tajzadeh was accused of “propaganda against the regime” by the Revolutionary Guards during his imprisonment, because of the critical letters he had written from the prison to the supreme leader. Yet he was not released by the end of his prison term, on the supposed date of April 17, 2015.
