A Woman and Man Executed in Northern Iran on Drug Related Charges

Iran Human Rights (June 3 2016): On Wednesday June 1, an unidentified woman with drug related charges and a man with murder charges were reportedly hanged at Qazvin Central Prison.

The executions were announced by the state-run news agency, ISNA, quoting the press department of the Judiciary in Qazvin. According to ISNA, the woman was sentenced to death for possession of four kilograms and 50 grams of crystal meth. The report identifies the man as "Amir Gh.", charged with the usage of narcotics and murdering a drug dealer.
