HRANA News Agency – A Kulbar from Sardasht with the name of Khalegh Khalehei was injured by being shot by the security forces, and was transferred to hospital on Friday August 29.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Khalegh Khalehei, the Sardashti citizen who is living by Kulbari (Smuggling goods – mainly home appliances – in small quantities and by passing through difficult and harsh mountain roots), was injured on his leg, in Alani Shahr in Sardasht, by being shot without warning of security forces on Friday August 29. He is currently hospitalized in Shohaday-e-Sardasht hospital.
Kulbaran (means carriers on their back) are the people who are living in borderline regions and have to carry goods in order to earn money.
Kulbaran are mainly active in West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces. They are doing this, desperately for a very low payment. They import goods from unofficial custom points among borderline.
