HRANA News Agency – There is no information about the status of Ali Rezaei, civil rights activist, who was arrested 14 days ago in Mehrabad airport, and has not had any contact with his family yet. According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Rezaei, civil right activist, was arrested by security forces on Wednesday morning February 4 at Mehrabad airport, and transferred to an unknown location. The security forces had seized all of personal accessories of Mr. Rezaei, like laptop, books, hard disk & etc. A close source to him told HRANA’s reporter, “He did not have any contact with his wife or father’s house and that made his wife and mother concerned”. He also said, “After continuous following by Mr. Rezaei’s wife from intelligence service tracking organization, she was summoned and insulted”. This source mentioned, “Ali Rezaei is a moderate Azeri identity seeker and his activities were according to constitution, international conventions and presidential promises of president Rohani regarding implementation of article number 15 of constitution for the right of education in mother tongue, recovery of Uremia Lake and also economical and cultural equality for different ethnic groups.
