Rasool Bodaghi Was Not Released by the End of His Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Although Rasool Bodaghi was supposed to be released, judicial authorities refused to release this imprisoned teacher.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Rasool Bodaghi’s six-year imprisonment sentence ended on 4th August, but the prison officials refused to release him with opening a new case against him.

Rasool Bodaghi told his family during a telephone conversation with them, that his new case circumstances will be clarified on Sunday next week.

There is no information about the reasons for the new case and the charges against this imprisoned teacher.

Rasool Bodaghi, imprisoned teacher and father of three children, was arrested in September 2009 and was sentenced to six years imprisonment, following his incarceration, his detention by the authorities was known as unjustified absence and he was dismissed from Ministry of Education and his salary was cut.

It is to say that from the beginning of his detention he has been held in Evin and Rajai Shahr prison and he has not been sent on furlough, so far.
