Nasser Piri Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Nasser Piri, Sunni religion student has been sentenced to five years imprisonment and was transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mamousta Nasser Piri was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj and was transferred to the central prison of Sanandaj.

This Sanandaji citizen was arrested at the checkpoint of the entrance to Zahedan city on 11th August 2014 and then was handed over to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office. According to his relatives, he had traveled to study theology in Zahedan, and there is no information available regarding his charges, yet.

Mamousta Naser Piri, previously had been once arrested and was under investigation for about 15 months in the Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj and after being released on the bail, he was acquitted of the charges.
